How to ask mom to let me visit guy friend in another state!!??

im a girl and ok so theres this guy at camp i met two years ago. hes so sweet and funny and weve talked on email and myspace since we left that camp. were just friends, and so nothing more. recently weve been talking about me flying out there so we could see each other since we havent in two years.

his moms totally ok with it, theres a guest bedroom at his house and i know he wouldnt try and hurt me or anything. he gave me his moms email and phone number so my mom could talk to his mom and get to know her so she would know the people taking care of me and stuff. he even said my mom could come with me out there if she wanted.

well i dont know how to ask my mom. she doesnt know him or even know i still talk to him. shes kind of protective and i dont want her getting the wrong impression (like wed have sex or something). she might say yes if it were a girl, but a guy makes it different. how do i ask her and get her to go along with it???

you could say " hey mom remember when i was at camp? well i made a really great friend and his name is ___. we have been talking and his mom and him invited me to come for a visit. His mom said she would be happy to talk to you and even said you are more than welcome to come as well/ what do you think of that idea?"

depending on how old you are, and how old this guy is... i might have to side with your mom. i'm assuming you're under 18 since you have to have her permission. the guy may be sweet and nice and a wonderful person... but if you're across the hall when everyone is asleep, you really don't know what he'd want to do... or what you'd be tempted to in the heat of the moment. all your mom needs is for you to come back pregnant.

also, going to another state... it doesn't matter how long your mom talks to his mom, there is NO WAY she'd be sure they won't chop you up and cook you for dinner. honestly, there are a lot of freaks out there. what if you got sick or hurt? you'd be so far away.
